We love visiting Allgäu in Germany. This was our second time, but to another resort. This one was more close to the famous castle of Neuschwanstein. The spacious luxury resort is Das König Ludwig Wellness Resort.
A few years ago a huge renovation took place. The reception and spa are more spacious and glamorous as before. We were welcomed with a glass of bubbles in the cozy lounge.

We had a very spacious (59m²)luxurious Suite. Large bathroom and also an Infrared cabin included.
The view from our Suite was amazing, facing the stunning looking mountains.
The spa was the highlight of the resort. In-and outside were very spacious and views of the mountain sceneries. A cozy restaurant and lounge on side looking over the gorgeous Spa resort.

There is plenty to see and do in the area of Allgäu. We went to visit the cute little town named Füssen. A beautiful medieval place with gorgeous historical buildings.
We also went up the famous mountain called Tegelberg. There you have a peek of Neuschwanstein castle from the cablecar.From up there you have an amazing view. So many lakes and mountains as far as the eye can see.
Here are some more impressions. The costumes displayed are replicas from King Ludwig from Germany and Empress Sissy from Austria and were shown in the hotel. There is also a shop where they sell their own wines and other items.
It is always sad to leave a beautiful place. I’m sure we will be back one time to visit Allgäu again.
